Social Prescribing is a way for GPs and other Health Professionals to refer people into local, non-clinical services. A Social Prescribing Link Worker is available to work with anyone over the age of 18 years within the local community.

Social prescribing links people to a wide range of community groups and services. This may include creative activities such as art, dance, and singing or other activities such as knitting, cooking or sports, for social support and to improve wellbeing.

Julie will be working with us on a Monday at the practice and available for telephone appointments Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

We also have Social Prescribers at The Community Lounge (Meir) Monday & Friday 10-12pm where you can drop in - no appointment needed - to discuss any social problems you may have.
